The Jupiter JPC1010, formerly known as model 305S, is a student piccolo made from heavy ABS resin. ABS piccolos are easier to maintain than wooden piccolos which require regular oiling of their bores and extra care in storage to avoid cracking. The JPC1010 simulates the feel and tone of a wooden piccolo while offering the freedom to play in both concert and outdoor settings without the risk of weather damage you would have with an expensive wooden piccolo.
